Mr & Mrs Budden - Wedding Photography at The Bishopstrow Hotel
On 20th October Dan and Jai travelled out of Devon to Warminster in Wiltshire for the wedding of Ed and Rebecca. This was the first time that The Event Studios have been to The Bishopstrow Hotel for a wedding so we were glad to see it was set in such a beautiful location. Jai did the hair and make-up for the bridal party before joining Dan as his second shooter for the day.
The bride and groom had requested natural and unobtrusive wedding photography for the majority of the day but still wanted formal portraits and a mini photoshoot in the surrounding grounds.
We believe that it's often the small details that are important on a wedding day, wether it's holding hands, a spray of perfume or cheeky face when you think nobody else is watching. It all adds up to tell the story of your unique wedding day.
Taking a higher viewpoint for large group photographs is always something that we would recommend as it allows you to see more of your guests. Having a second photographer below works well and allows for more natural photographs of the inbetween moments when guests are likely to be more spontaneous.
Having a photoshoot on your wedding day doesn't have to be time consuming, from as little as 15 minutes away from your guests you could have a fantastic selection of natural or staged photographs.
Dan and Jai and Jai enjoy working together to create lighting effects that bring the evening to life. Often amature photographers will have a very flat looking image caused from a direct use of flash but with these off-camera lighting techniques you can really see the difference.
Congratulations once again to Rebecca and Ed.
