Wedding Photographer Exeter - Reed Hall, Devon
The beautiful wedding of Gemma and Lee Jarrell, hosted at Reed Hall, Exeter, Devon and photographed by Dan. Dan provided wedding photography coverage all day from bridal preparations right up until the evening and the party.
This wedding had a particular resonance and excitement about it for Dan as he has known Gemma for almost 25 years since they went through playgroup and school together!
He also knows both sides of the family and most of the guests too so it made for a fun, relaxing atmosphere.
It was Danís first session of wedding photography at Reed Hall and it made a great impression. Set within the Exeter University Campus itís quiet and relaxed with stunning gardens and a picturesque Lake thatís perfect for a short walk and some photographs.
These personalised dressing gowns helped the girls get into the wedding mood in the morning.
During the wedding preparations Dan stands back and observes to pic up on the moments that will most probably pass you by.
The wedding ceremony room at Reed Hall is spacious and airy with large windows that allow lots of light (great for photographs).
Above is one of our favourite photographs
from the day, a captured moment after shooting a formal photograph. The best form of a smile is not found in saying 'cheese', it comes when you least expect it.
... but 'cheese' works pretty well sometimes too!
Gemma and Lee mentioned that they are not normally 'camera posey people' but you really wouldn't know it. They looked great on the day and had loads of great photo opportunities too.
It was great having such a strong connection to both sides of the families as Dan was able to appreciate the speaches in their full glory and understand a few of the in jokes too.
Having never written a song before Will took the opportunity to make his song-writing debut with a REALLY catchy chorus that stays in your head for weeks afterwards. A great idea for a wedding gift and something that people can remember for years.
Lots of Lee-look-a-like's arrived in the evening, it was getting slightly tricky to pick out the real one.
He is a man of many faces!
